LASER TREATMENTS
The Pellevé Wrinkle Reduction System is the premiere, FDA approved system for the treatment of mild to moderate facial wrinkles without surgery or downtime. Advanced radiofrequency wave technology is the secret, painlessly heating the deep layers of the skin to reform and regrow collagen. Most patients experience tighter, smoother skin after just one treatment, and because Pellevé actually creates new collagen you will see continued improvement with time. For optimal results, we recommend 3 treatments at monthly intervals.

Blu-U Light Acne therapy is a fast, effective solution for clear, acne-free skin. Safe, high-intensity ultraviolet light stimulates the creation of oxygen molecules that destroy acne bacteria and aid the healing process.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) laser treatment is highly effective to remove brown and red spots on the face and hands with no pain or downtime.

Laser Hair Removal works by focusing the energy of the laser directly at the underlying hair follicles permanently destroying them. It is not necessary to wait for hair to grow back from shaving or waxing to begin your treatment. Approximately four to six treatments are required because hair grows in distinct stages. Annual touch ups are generally necessary to remove new hair follicles.

Laser Assisted Spider Vein Eradication is offered in Pearl’s Comprehensive Vein Clinic. It is a state-of-the-art technology that eliminates the appearance of surface spider veins on the legs and face. For more information click here.

BASIC SKINCARE
A Medical Facial is the first step to beautiful skin. This deep cleansing facial removes clogged pores and sloughs away dead skin. We recommend it prior to any more advanced procedure and for regular maintenance of a healthy glow.

Microdermabrasion is the mechanical exfoliation of the upper dermis. It evens pigmentation and promotes the growth of healthy new cells with minimal downtime.

Medical grade skincare products will keep your skin looking its best. Pearl Women’s Center offers the Obagi, Skinceuticals and mybody lines as well as sunscreens and various Retin A formulations.

PEELS
Peels address one of the most difficult aspects of aging to correct: The textural changes that occur as a result of loss of collagen, sun damage and repetitive movement of muscles. In addition to providing a fresh, polished look, peels can be designed for your specific needs by altering concentrations and formulations. The more intense the peel is, the more dramatic the results will be. We use chemical peels to treat hyper-pigmentation, acne, sun damage and wrinkles. They are the best method to date to alter skin texture to a more youthful radiance. With repeated use, they have also been proven to help decrease the incidence of superficial skin cancers by removing the top layer of sun damaged, precancerous skin cells.

Mild peels address the outer layer of the skin and are a wonderful method of exfoliation with little or no downtime. Glycolic and Jessner peels are included in this category.

Moderate peels reach deeper into the structures of the skin for a greater benefit. Downtime ranges from 2 to 5 days and resembles the peeling that occurs from a sunburn. ViPeel and TCA 15 to 20% are categorized as moderate peels.

The intense peel penetrates the deep structures of the skin to offer the most dramatic result in facial resurfacing. The Hetter Peel is the peel of choice at our center. It is performed by Dr. Richard Bensimon, Director of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Bensimon is widely recognized as the international expert on the Hetter Peel which he frequently teaches to other plastic surgeons at educational meetings throughout the world. Downtime ranges between 5 and 14 days depending on the concentration used.
