About

Dr. Richard Rosenfield has been practicing medicine in Oregon since 2000. After completing his residency training at Stanford University Hospital, he moved to Portland. Simply stated, he fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Rosenfield is widely known for his minimally invasive approaches to surgical procedures. He has lectured nationally and internationally about the outpatient approach to hysterectomy, robotic surgery in gynecology, fertility and sterility, and the Essure method of permanent contraception. He has pioneered new techniques and surgical approaches in the field of Gynecology.

Dr. Rosenfield is active in the Portland metropolitan community as a business owner and educator, lecturing frequently about Gynecology Topics. His passion for women’s healthcare is evident as part of the Medical Advisory Committee of Komen of Oregon. His dedication to improving the quality of patient care worldwide led Dr. Rosenfield to found SURGiVIEW.com, an online, video based community where surgeons share their surgical experiences, techniques and best practices. He also finds time to be an active member of the executive board of the Pearl District Business Association.

Dr. Rosenfield loves the outdoors, enjoys hiking, skiing, SCUBA diving, and traveling, as well as spending time with his two children, Gabe and Peri. Dr Rosenfield also enjoys playing guitar in his free time.

About

Born and raised in Maine and Massachusetts, Dr. Russell A. Dow arrived in Portland in 1974 and never looked back. In private practice since 1978, his 31 years of experience includes the delivery of 4500 babies and thousands of surgeries. He has been a clinical associate professor in OB/GYN at OHSU and served on advisory/medical committees for Good Samaritan Hospital, Planned Parenthood, Legacy and the Oregon Chapter of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Since 1999, Dr. Dow has focused exclusively on the gynecologic and surgical needs of his patients.

Dr. Dow has been a pioneer in endoscopic surgery, performing the first laparoscopic hysterectomy in Portland in 1990. He was the first physician in Oregon to use the hysteroscope for diagnosis and treatment of problems inside the uterus. He was also one of Portland’s first gynecologists formally certified as a menopausal clinician by the North American Menopause Society.

About

Kyle Bell McAvoy is a certified women’s health care nurse practitioner with a passion for helping women of all ages and ethnic backgrounds achieve their health related goals. During the past 20 years, Kyle has been a dedicated advocate for patient education and believes a strong partnership between patient and practitioner is the first step to help her patients lead balanced, healthy, and fulfilling lives. Kyle handles many of the routine annual examinations at Pearl Women’s Center besides managing her thriving practice in hormone restoration therapy. Kyle has extensive training and experience working with bio-identical hormones as well as more traditional, synthetic hormone replacement options.

In addition to working as a nurse practitioner, she has worked as a health care consultant for a national laboratory specializing in saliva and blood spot testing, and helping to educate other health care providers in the rewarding and growing field of hormone restoration therapy. Kyle is co-founder of Menopausibilities, a company providing educational programs to help women in mid-life restore hormonal health and balance in their lives.

Originally from New York, she has called the beautiful Pacific Northwest her home for over 30 years. Kyle is very active in the community. She serves on the board of the National Charity League, is the president of the PTA and regularly volunteers with Meals on Wheels, Loaves and Fishes, the Portland Rescue Mission, Race for the Cure, the Humane Society and Special Olympics. During her free time, Kyle enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and their sweet black lab, Riley. She loves to walk on the beach, garden, play tennis, practice yoga, read, work out, travel, quilt and try out new recipes on friends and family.
